It’s continued success is the result of working closely with the community and it’s association with Government Agencies. Two parallel vocational assistance programs have been developed in order to ensure the best possible level of service is provided to each and every client. One of our programs concentrates on referrals from the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) while the other focuses on SSA’s Ticket to Work Incentive.
Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) Program
Life-Skills, Inc. is under contract with the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) to provide a wide variety of vocational services through its local offices. In order to receive our services, an individual must be a client of and referred to us by MRC. Certain requirements must be met in order to qualify to be a MRC individual and there is presently a waiting period once qualified. If you are currently a MRC individual or if you are interested in becoming one and wish to learn more about the benefits of receiving our services please contact us at employmentdirections@life-skillsinc.org or visit Mass.Gov website.
Ticket to Work Incentive Program
This vocational program focuses on assisting job seekers (referred to as Ticket Holders or Beneficiaries) who are between the ages of 18-64, and receive benefits from the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Insurance (SSI). It is a self-referral program. In other words, the job seeker contacts Life-Skills, Inc. directly and there is no waiting period for qualified job seekers. Also, there is no charge of any kind or at any time to the Ticket Holder for services!
